Affidavit of Support ( Family based immigrant visa petitions)

An Affidavit of Support, also called the Form I-864, is a document an individual signs to accept financial responsibility for the applicant who is coming to live in the United States and required to submit by the sponsor and joint sponsor for family based immigrants. U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident age 18 or older must meet the income criteria as per the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
